Volkswagen Australia is delighted to announce that ECU Joondalup from Western Australia will represent the country after they emerged triumphant following an incredible tournament in Sydney. After a tough selection process, 20 under-12 boys’ club football teams from across Australia took part in two days of intense competition. The 20 finalist teams were selected following an application process that encouraged a sense of community spirit and unity within squads, good sportsmanship both on and off the field, and of course skill.
The inaugural Volkswagen Junior Masters Australia came down to the most dramatic of climaxes. A penalty shootout between ECU Joondalup and Adelaide City Juniors proved to be the only way to separate two well matched sides after the final finished 1-1 after extra time.
