All Volkswagen models already come with numerous assistance systems which offer the driver additional convenience, permanently reduce their workload and, in this way, make it easier for the driver to focus their attention on the road. As a result, they help to alleviate critical situations in advance and reduce the risk of accidents.

During development of the assistance systems, the Volkswagen safety experts attach maximum importance to simple and intuitive operation and to assisting the driver. The driver assistance systems should be incorporated harmoniously into the overall vehicle concept and perform their task as a matter of course. After all, new systems are not introduced at Volkswagen on the basis of their technical feasibility, but depending on how practical they are.

Volkswagen is planning new generations of helpful and practical assistance systems for the immediate future.
