All Volkswagen Crafters come with a three-year/200,000km warranty, which protects your vehicle against the failure of most mechanical and electrical components due to manufacturing defects. Full details of the warranty are available from your authorised Volkswagen Commercial Vehicle dealer.

Three-year Paint warranty

The paintwork of the Crafter is covered against manufacturing defects for a period of three years. Naturally, the Crafter must be cared for in compliance with the operating instructions which will be found in your owners handbook.

12-year Body Protection warranty

The internal body sections and panels of the Crafter are covered against rusting through from the inside for 12 years.

Service intervals for Diesel Engines

Volkswagen has always been dedicated to protecting the environment. That's why all Crafters come with a LongLife Service regime. As a result of longer service intervals the engine oil requirement can be significantly reduced over the vehicle's total life, which results in less waste oil to dispose of and reduces the burden on the environment.The LongLife Service regime is so called because there are no set service intervals. The interval between services,
depending on how you drive your vehicle and the conditions of use, is up to a maximum of approximately 40,000km or 24 months (whichever comes first). The Service Interval Display in the instrument panel will indicate when
a service is required. This LongLife Service regime has been made possible due to the development of new Volkswagen engines with the latest technically advanced long-life oils. These engines use built-in sensors that continually monitor the oil quality, making it possible to enjoy reliable and confident motoring.

LongLife Service Regime

If you would like a more traditional service regime the Crafter can be adapted by your authorised Volkswagen Van Centre orVan Service Centre to the Time/Distance regime. This can be done at the point of vehicle sale or when an inspection service is carried out. An oil change is required every 22,500km on the Time/Distance regime.
