Our Anti-lock Braking System (ABSplus) with Brake Assist, Anti-Slip Regulation (ASR) traction control and Electronic Stabilisation Program (ESP) are on board to keep you in control in an emergency braking situations. And in the case of an accident, front, side and curtain airbags, impact absorbing polycarbonate front guards and bumpers; rigid safety cell, front and rear crumple zones and side impact protection ensure the most comprehensive impact protection available for each and every passenger.

Starting with the finest materials, we created a modern, ergonomic design with ambient lighting for the ultimate mood and comfort. Then we installed a 12-way adjustable power seat (manual adjustable seats for the R5 TDI model), a multifunction steering wheel, 6-disc CD changer, cruise control and rain-sensing wipers standard across the entire Touareg range - and that's just for starters.

The Touareg offers a range of powerful engine variants from the 2.5L R5 TDI to the range-topping 5.0L R50, and takes advantage of Volkswagen's advanced 4X4 technology. With 4XMOTION permanent four-wheel drive, lockable differential, Hill Descent and Holding Assistance; superb low range gearing (2.7:1) and 45° climbing angle, the Touareg's off-road prowess speaks for itself.
